> Working on a ship means you live and work onboard. > This is full-time employment - You will be working 7 days a week, 8+ hours per day, for 5 months. > You share your room with 2 or 3 other crew members (depending on the position). > Your crew cabin has 1, 2, 3, or 4 bunk beds, desk and chair, T.V. and telephone. (Space is very tight.) > The cabin is free to you and you are responsible for keeping your cabin clean. > There's no drinking on duty and absolutely no drug use at any time. > Every applicant must obtain a MMC (Merchant Mariners Credential) and TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) > All crewmembers are required to wear uniforms while on duty. > Your meals are provided. > You have access to a crew gym, computers and lounge > It's hard work, but there are lots of opportunities to participate in onboard crew activities to relax and have fun.
